If I book a double room for a solo stay, can I invite a guest to join me in my room each night?

The hotel has a guest policy where if the room is booked for two guests, it can only be occupied by two registered guests. If only one guest checks in, an additional visitor can join for no extra charge. However, if more than one visitor is present, there is a charge of 500 baht for each additional person.
